The H-Team Scholarship

The Heritage Automotive Group, Inc. has partnered with the Burlington Boys and Girls Club to award a quarterly $2,000 scholarship in the name of The H-TEAM.

The scholarship is awarded to local club students who have demonstrated resilience in the face of personal and financial hardships.

The H-Team hopes this quarterly scholarship will assist each student with the cost of books, food, housing, travel and other necessary expenses.

Tanasia McGee

Tanasia recalls her life in New York City, "It was hard to stay in school when we were being bounced from shelter to shelter." Arriving in Burlington with her mother, Tanasia discovered her passion for music, learning to compose and rap through the Club's music programs. She was also a championship basketball player at Burlington High School. She continues to study music production at Lyndon State, plays on the women's basketball team and, during school vacations, works as a child care employee.

She is the first in her family to attend college and plans to graduate in 2013
